The Institution was opened in a cottage known as Manor House - the name by which the campus is still known.

The Institution was attended by eminent personalities like General Shankar Roy Chowdhury, Actor/Cultural ambassador Saeed Jaffrey and Singer/Actor Lucky Ali.

IIT/AIEEE coaching is available on Sundays for aspiring students.

Up to Grade VII, the Institution offers education on the following subjects:

English Language, English Literature, Hindi / Nepali/French, Sanskrit, History / Civic, Geography, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Arts, Music, Value Education, Environmental Studies.

Grade IX onwards, the student has to take up either the Science or Commerce stream. The subjects taught are as follows:

Science: English Language, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology, Arts / Computers / Economics, Environmental Studies.

Commerce: English Language, English Literature, Commerce, Accounts, Economics, Arts / Computers / Mathematics, Environmental Studies.

The School also organizes Remedial Classes for weaker students.

The school has provisions for the following games: hockey, football, athletics, cricket, basketball and table tennis.

Internet facilities are available in the campus itself for all students.

Specific classes every month are devoted to religious study under the guidance of various religious scholars.
